What gets corrupted?
Steve Moyer - stevemoyer.us
Virtue gets corrupted as well as honesty, truthfulness, honor, justice, generosity, and compassion.
When government is corrupt it denies virtue and accepts vice. In short, it rejects goodness and embraces evil. Stephen Lendman tries to paint the corruption as both a Republican and Democrat problem but it is largely a Republican problem in my view. Sure, there are some "closet Republicans" in the Democratic party. These are the people who support the war in Iraq and deny the right of every American to receive health care. But the corruption we see today is based on an organized conspiracy to steal our democracy .... organized and implemented by Republicans. It isn't "corporations" who are the source of the corruption ... it is the unrighteous desire of Republicans to acquire and maintain political power for the purpose of private profit rather than public progress. This is the essential nature of the corruption we face. If you accept the Republican agenda then you accept the idea that "the rich should rule." If you accept the Democratic agenda you accept the idea that "the people should rule."
It's all about the love of money ( control ) rather than the love of righteousness ( virtue ). The Republicans have sold their soul to the devil. They play on the people's insecurity, vanity and fear of losing control. They teach the people to have "faith in money." They believe that money will save us but they are wrong. Time will show us the truth about money, that it is a spiritual trap which produces tyranny. Hopefully enough Americans will wake up and reject Republicans before they destroy this nation.
Republicans are evil. They have stolen our democracy and I want it back. Never vote Republican.
