The Consequences of GOP Conservatism ...
A Police State Personified

by Shirley Smith - BuzzFlash.com

To listen to the vile rhetoric that comes from the leaders of the Christian Coalition ... my first thoughts are always, "such a pseudo name for their organization." They want restrictions on Americans ... but, when it actually happens, we will hear, "better thee than me."

How many Americans who have ever interviewed for a job and couldn't give straight forward answers about their past ... got the job? Roberts did. Yet, we have written records of what Alito thinks about the rights of Americans (better for thee -- but, not for me). Even without Alito on board on the Supreme Court, Americans were kept from a fair election in 2000; the law was vilified without recourse by this same court that was supposed to define US law, and Bush was given the job in the White House, even though he didn't have the majority of the popular vote or the proper qualifications for such a job, if we really want to get technical. Republicans can't win elections without appointments or fraud.

But, that wasn't the point, was it? That was the beginning of the end of the three branches of government in DC, a beginning that started thirty years ago. Hard work, just ask Bush.

And, since that time, Bush, himself, has followed that same course with most of his own appointments, which has been to reward those who supported his appointment into the White House, regardless of their background ... and has resulted in a deadly dereliction of Bush's duties as we witnessed in New Orleans. The appointment of Alito is like the final act before a police state and the end of US democracy for most of US citizens, but not for all of US citizens. And, I'm guessing that all of those Christian Coalition conservatives think that it will not affect their lives. Just tour the poor states. These people would rather starve than give up their idealistic prejudices in the political arenas. It gives me the idea that suffering is some kind of badge with these people, and it is, but when it is actually abuse to oneself by constantly voting Republican ... that's not badge worthy, that's psychotic.

What Bush has done around the world ( Bush and his GOP), they would not hesitate to do here at home ... in fact, people have been punished or have lost their jobs or have been demoted, imprisoned without counsel, abused in those prisons and even murdered because of Bush's leadership. People have been illegally taped and listened to by Bush. During the last five years, there were attempts to get neighbors to watch neighbors, all coming from the idea of fighting terrorism, those same people who came up with the duct tape idea. These are not original ideas, except for the duct tape ... no, that is strictly US government intelligence. Every communist or nazi idealistic government has done the same thing, and Americans have always fought against these invasions upon people's rights ... but, we never invaded a country because of lies. Now, our own Country has been invaded by our own people, that's called treason.

What has happened to innocent people in Iraq can happen here. If Americans don't believe that this could happen here in the US ... keep supporting the Bush GOP and you may be lucky enough to witness it in your own home and hauled into jail or court (maybe) and never know the real reason why, except Bush and his criminal administration will tell you that it is to fight terrorism. Enough said? It will be enough for any American, because you will not have any rights at all, similar to those same people suffering in all of the US prisons, such as Guantanamo. This is the conservative America that supporters of the Bush GOP want ... because, they have paid, and will continue to pay for their freedom to be ignored.

US troops seize award-winning Iraqi journalist
Dr Fadhil was asleep with his wife, their three-year-old daughter, Sarah, and seven-month-old son, Adam, when the troops forced their way in. "They fired into the bedroom where we were sleeping, then three soldiers came in. They rolled me on to the floor and tied my hands. When I tried to ask them what they were looking for they just told me to shut up," he said.

The only people who can't see through the Bush GOP's murky misuse of US power are Americans ... everyone else in the world understands why the US is becoming just another bullish power-hungry, political-state behemoth. The same type of enemy we used to fight against, and now Bush is friendly with such countries. Why do Americans think Bush would not do this here? It's been going on gradually for thirty years. It just doesn't get treated as the "biggest news story" with such a "liberal" media.

Alito will be the last nail in the coffin of the US Constitution. How many preachers are going to show up for that service, I wonder?
