There are some days when we are rendered dumbstruck at how this nightmare continues without end.
We keep hoping that the "good daddy" will arrive just in the nick of time and save us from "the bad daddies" ("Baby Doc" Bush, Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld and Karl Rove), but when the movie ends -- and the house lights go on -- the bad daddies are still in charge.
What's more -- and we've said this before -- is we bend our heads in sorrow because America used to stand for excellence. Now it stands for mediocrity, arrogance, torture, and failure.
Our gas tanks are running on hubris and the empty vapor of glories past, while an incompetent cabal steers the ship of state.
It's all a stage-managed, "that's entertainment" political horror flick.
Unfortunately, we are the bit part actors being told where to stand and what to do, as our wallets get picked, our full-time jobs lost, and members of our families killed in a war-profiteering, power grabbing war.
